Attendance
ABA Standard 308(a) requires law schools to “adopt, publish, and adhere to sound academic standards, including those for regular class attendance, good standing, academic integrity, graduation, and dismissal.” Pursuant to Standard 308(a) the College of Law requires regular and punctual class attendance. No student will be given credit for work done in any course in which he or she has failed to attend at least 80 percent of the scheduled classes.

Academic, Vaccination, and Cancellation Policies
Academic Policies
Loyola’s general academic policies apply to Summer Legal Studies programs. Thus, students must attend 80 percent of all classes, and final examinations will be graded on the traditional A-F (+,-) scale.
Loyola students must be carrying a GPA of 2.20 or above (by the program start date) to participate in any of or Summer Legal Studies Programs.
Law Study Abroad Tuition and Fees
The tuition for the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law Spetses program is $1,250.00 per credit hour, and the program fee is $300 per student (paid through a single deposit upon registration).

Application Process
The Loyola Study Abroad programs employ a rolling admissions policy. Applications are considered in the order of their receipt, and applications showing potential for successful study abroad are accepted promptly, until the program is filled. After 35-40 students have enrolled, a waiting list is used to admit further students depending on program availability. Please note that the Loyola Study Abroad programs are popular and in some years have been closed early due to over-enrollment.
