Covid 19 Print Alternative Resources
Many students have relied upon the law library's reserve copy of their casebook for their assigned reading. With campus visits disuaded in the name of social distancing, we have requested temporary, online access to these casebooks. A number of publishers have responded by making their online versions available to students.
Each publisher has different rules, below. If you do not know the publisher of your casebook please contact a reference librarian and we will look it up for you.
Bluebook
The makers of the Bluebook have worked with Loyola students and are offering a secured user key (valid for 60 days) for each student to utilize the Online Bluebook while we are having remote classes. To receive your user key please email Library Director Brian Barnes, bcbarnes@loyno.edu, from your Loyno email address and have Bluebook in your subject line. Requests will be fulfilled within 24 hours.
West Academic Study Aid Library (Hornbooks, Nutshells, Acing Series, Gilberts)
To access the West Academic Study Aid Subscription please create a personalized account using your @my.loyno.edu email account here. Once you are logged in you should be able to access the Study Aid library. This is a trial subscription that we may continue after we resume on campus classes.

Foundations and West Academic Casebooks
If you have your print casebook, the publisher asks us to emphasize that you please do not seek access to the online version. This is meant for students who share a casebook, do not have access to the library copy, etc. They are not prepared to handle the volume of calls if all students seek online access.
- You must first have a West Academic account (this not Westlaw; similar names, different companies). If you do not have account, create an account here, https://eproducts.westacademic.com/
- Call or email West Academic and ask to set up your individual ebook. Call 877.888.1330 (ext.4) or email support@westacademic.com
- No proof of prior purchase is required
